Terms of use
1. What Velonary is
Velonary brings together information about bikes and cycling gear: product details and summaries of expert reviews published by independent publications, with links to the original articles. Velonary does not write reviews of its own and does not sell products.
2. Information on the site
- Ratings, pros, cons and verdicts are short summaries of the publications’ own reviews. The full review, at the publication, is always the authoritative source.
- Average ratings are calculated by Velonary from the ratings the publications give, converted to a scale of 5.
- We work to keep information accurate, but products, prices and specifications change. Check the details with the seller before you buy. The information is not professional advice.
3. Rights in the content
Review texts, images and trademarks belong to their owners. Velonary shows short extracts with attribution and a link, and respects publishers’ robots.txt instructions. The Velonary name, logo and site design belong to us. You may link to Velonary freely; please don’t copy the site or collect its data automatically in bulk without our permission.
4. Acceptable use
Don’t misuse the site, for example by attempting to break its security, overloading it or generating fake ad clicks.
5. Advertising
Brands and shops can buy ads. Ads are always labelled “Sponsored” and show who the advertiser is. Advertisers cannot influence ratings, reviews or the order in which reviews are shown. Advertisers are bound by the advertising terms.
6. How we earn money
Velonary is free to use. We earn from clearly labelled ads and from affiliate links: when you follow a “Check price” or “View deal” link to a shop and buy something, the shop may pay us a commission. You pay the same price. Commissions and ads never affect ratings, reviews, rankings or the order of shops, which is by price and then by our list order.
7. Links to other sites
We link to publications, manufacturers and shops. We are not responsible for their content, products or privacy practices.
8. Reporting content
If you believe something on Velonary is illegal, incorrect or infringes your rights, tell us through the contact form. Under the EU Digital Services Act we review notices promptly, act on them and tell you what we decided and why.
9. Liability
Velonary is provided as it is. To the extent permitted by law we are not liable for indirect damage or for decisions made on the basis of information on the site. Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer under mandatory law.
10. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Finland. Consumers may also bring disputes to the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board or to the courts where they live, as mandatory law allows.
11. Changes
We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version.
