Cookies and storage
What we store in your browser
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
velonary.theme | Local storage | Remembers the colour theme you chose (light or dark). Stored only when you pick one. | Until you clear it |
sb-…-auth-token | Local storage | Keeps advertisers signed in to Velonary Ads. Only set when you sign in. | Until you sign out |
Both are strictly necessary for a service you asked for, so EU law (the ePrivacy Directive) does not require consent for them. Nothing is shared with third parties.
Third parties
- Payments: when an advertiser pays, Stripe’s checkout page (on stripe.com) may set its own cookies for fraud prevention. See Stripe’s cookie policy.
- Links to publications and advertisers: when you leave Velonary, the other site’s own cookie policy applies.
How we count visits without cookies
Our servers count page views when they deliver a page: the address, the referring site, the country and the device type, with a pseudonymous code that changes every day. Nothing is stored on your device, so no consent is needed and no banner is shown for it.
How ads work without cookies
Ads are picked by the page you are viewing. To count clicks fairly we use a code that changes every day and does not store your IP address – see the privacy policy.
Your control
You can clear site data in your browser settings at any time. If we ever add optional cookies, we will ask for your consent first and update this page.
